В своей книге "Вера Бахаи: секта или религия?" Удо Шефер указывает, что Иоахим Вах считает бахаи не сектой а религией. ссылка идет на Wach, Sociology of Religion  18, 30, 132 и Wach, Church, Denomination and Sect 18. буду очень благодарен если ктонибудь поможет найти эти тексты потому что мне это пока не удается. пока я нашел только следующее:

"A peculiar phenomenon are the sects connected with Eastern (Oriental) religions, such as the Bahai, Vedanta, Theosophy, and others"

"The Shakers, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and the Bahai are instances of American sects, while the Quakers, Disciples, Brethren, Christian Scientists, Swedenborgians, the Nazarenes, and possibly the Mennonites represent sects in the process of becoming denominations"
